Intertribal GONA: A Day of Blessing and Unity

Hosted by One Fire Associates, Oklahoma City University, and Cedar Circle, this event welcomed students, faculty, staff, and community members for a day of cultural sharing, dialogue, and community-building. Framed as a “Day of Blessing and Unity,” it brought together diverse Indigenous nations and allies to explore shared humanity through stories, ceremony, and practices grounded in Indigenous resilience.

The event was part of the broader Healing Pathways initiative, building on the GONA model to nurture relational healing, respect for all ways of knowing, and collective strength.
